SCREAMER Media's printing sponsorship of the 3rd annual Animal Action Day on October 3, 2009, has led to a flurry of support from other businesses and individuals. This year's event will feature 8 bands, performers, speakers, stalls, art auction, over $5000 in prizes, giveaways, best dressed owner pet look-alike competition, fire dancing, jumping castle, face painting & more. It's on from 10am to midnight at Threeworlds, 2558 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach. The charity fun family event aims to raise awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals. All proceeds this year go to WSPA (World Society for Protection of Animals).
This is the first year the event will be held on a Saturday and will go until midnight, so it will be one big party. It will also be an inspiring day of celebration for the animals in our lives, a day to encourage environmental sustainability and a day to raise money for WSPA - which raises the standards of animal welfare throughout the world. Together, by taking action for the animals, we can all make a difference.
