AA Xposé Media Director Aldwyn Altuney features in Artists in Paradise exhibition

The Artists in Paradise exhibition opened on Nov 19 at Robina Community Gallery (near the library). About 50 people attended the opening with the official launch by Andrew Trump of the Gold Coast City Council and also well known in local theatre circles.

Aldwyn has four 40 x 60 cm canvas' on display of her photos (taken around Australia) and among them is the postcard shot for Animal Action Day 09 – of the iguana Jub Jub from Currumbin Sanctuary on the Gold Coast (see attached).

These are descriptions of her photos:

1. Jub Jub, 20, a Fijian Banded Iguana at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on 1.5.09

2. Aldwyn Altuney takes a photo overlooking Central Station and Railway Square from The Mercure Leisure Centre in Sydney on 28.7.08

3. Fishermen and a couple relax at sunset on Banksia Beach at Bribie Island on 8.3.09

4. St Kilda sunset in Melbourne on 31.8.08 All printed by Blueliquid Canvas Printing on 450gsm Museum Grade Canadian stretched canvas. Sizes: 400.6 mm x 600.9 mm 10% of all proceeds go to the Blue Nurses.

Entry is free 7 days during Robina Library opening hours. And they are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 9am to 6pm

Thursday - 9am to 7pm

Saturday - 9am to 3pm

Sunday - noon to 4pm.
