Background
Beyond the boundaries of fantasia, there is a place of great understanding, a place where feelings of love, joy and fulfilment stand at the fore. To get to this place, a great journey will partake. In the deepest part of the mystical forest, you will find Southern Oracle...
Lost World Productions and 33 Expressions join forces to bring you Southern Oracle 2010. Set to be an incredible gathering of local talent, interstate and international acts.
This year, Southern Oracle will feature over 100 acts, bands ranging from solo to 12 piece bands, live djs and visual artists, with styles ranging from funk, soul, jazz, blues, reggae, acoustic, folk, rock 'n' roll, psy trance, progressive, dub, minimal techno, chunky progressive trance, glitch, idm/electronica, electro, breaks, jungle, lounge, acid jazz, down tempo, dub step and smooth grooves.
You will be inspired by over 40 artists and entertainers ranging from fire shows, uv art, art installations and chai space catered with an organic café.
Benefits
This is a community festival and the organisers (33 Expressions founder/ multimedia wiz Guy Sohm & friends) want to put energy back into the land.
"We are all about bringing people together, to connect, celebrate and embrace the land we live on, mother earth. We are coming together as a tribe of like minded individuals, in a luscious forest setting with good vibrations," Guy said.
"Our intention is to bring community together in this special gathering, sharing what we are passionate about, supporting each other to achieve our dreams and creating abundance for all those involved. We aim to help promote and support all of our individual projects and showcase them in a luscious environment with warm and friendly people, linking all the tribes, coming together as one, in love and gratitude."
Raising funds for indigenous communities & Animal Action Day
The 3rd annual Southern Oracle Festival, 37km west of Warwick, Queensland, will be raising money to send Aboriginal elder Wiruungga to set up permaculture gardens in remote indigenous communities and schools.
It will also be raising money for Animal Action Day, a local organisation which supports raising awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and helping animals in need. Funds from the fourth annual Animal Action Day in 2010 will go towards South China Tigers.
Environmental Mission
Southern Oracle Festival has a strong focus on being as sustainable and conscious in this gathering as possible. The workshops and acoustic stage will be run using solar energy, the flyers are printed on recycled paper with biodegradable ink. There will be plenty of bins for recycling, lots of environmental awareness workshops and people will be made aware of the steps they take and ripples they create.

This year there will be a wide range of markets, workshops and food.
There will be an organic café, where you will get your change to support Animal Action Day and Wiruungga, an Aboriginal elder raising money to set up permaculture gardens in remote indigenous communities and schools. All money raised from the café and 10% of the profits from Southern Oracle will be supporting these two charities.
What To Bring
Plenty of water, camping equipment, warm clothes, blankets, torch, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, money for the markets, rubbish bags, good vibes and respect for others.
What not to bring
Please do not bring any glass, dogs to be kept in camp ground not on dance floor or market area, no illicit drugs and no negative attitude.
Lost World Productions holds the right to remove any people exchanging in antisocial behaviour. These people will be removed from the festival. There will be a tight security presence this year for your safety.
Location
Set in beautiful south east Queensland, Southern Oracle is to be held at a new site, just over an easy 2 hour drive from Brisbane and Gold Coast, 3 hour drive from Byron Bay. This location provides hot showers, clean toilets, limited powered camping sites for an additional price, bushwalking tracks, swimming holes, gold panning and lush surroundings. 37km west from Warwick at Glendon Camping Grounds (07) 4667 4756, 222 Glendon Rd, Thane, Qld
