The three-hour stand-alone seminar, aptly titled Balance Before Burnout, is about achieving balance in the lives of busy working people, whether they be small business owners, corporates or professionals.
Mr Ellis said this was a different style of seminar as it was not a regurgitation of all the other so-called 'motivational experts' and was not about hyping people up to believe in themselves. Attendees will receive tools on the laws of nature and the immutable patterns that have been highlighted in the well known DaVinci Code and in The Secret that will show them how to achieve real balance in their life between the materialistic earning of their ‘money wealth" and their ‘real wealth’ of health, family and enjoyment of life.
It’s a fantastic program designed to get the best balance into your life, burn stress and it’s fun.
The previously high pressured professional knows first-hand how to avoid burnout. About eight years ago, the Gold Coast resident ‘hit the wall physically and emotionally and was near total burn out’ from the stress of his life. His business, one of the larger firms on the Gold Coast, won the Best of the Gold Coast service award voted by Gold Coast Bulletin readers for three consecutive years.
"Ups and downs are often experienced in life and I have had my fair share,” said Mr Ellis.
“A lot of business people don’t enjoy their life because they are constantly putting out fires from the problems created by the lack of balance between their professional and personal lives. Instead of succumbing to the pressure of it all, I turned my life totally around by working on myself rather than in myself and on my business rather than in my business.”
Mr Ellis holds a Masters in NLP as well as NLP Trainer, Life Coach and Educational Kinesiology qualifications.
Believing strongly in giving back to the community, the long-time happily married father-of-three launched The Success Project seminars to Year 11 and 12 students in Gold Coast high schools late last year. The presentation assists older teenagers, about to graduate from high school, to make a successful transition into the real world with knowledge, skills and abilities to achieve whatever they want to achieve in life.
Over 1800 young adults have completed the project just in the past few months with each student receiving a copy of his first book The 7 Simple Secrets to Success, published last year, which are paid for by corporate sponsors.
Mr Ellis’ qualifications are again highlighted with the collaborative second book, The 7 Simple Secrets to be an Exceptional Golfer, released in late 2006, which was co-authored by two-time Australian PGA Golf Coach of the year and three-time QLD PGA Golf Coach of the Year Mark Gibson. Shane addresses the human excellence elements whilst Mark handles the golf aspects in their joint Exceptional Life Exception Golf Events.
The first of the Balance Before Burnout seminars will be at The Courtyard Marriott Surfers Paradise on June 27 and July 25 and at the Hilton, Brisbane, on July 11 and August 15. Each one-night stand (so to speak) will not be used as a lead-in to any other seminars or courses as they include all the insights and tools needed for a person to have a balanced life. They are on from 6 for 6.30pm to 9pm. Tickets cost $198 for one, $328 for two and a discount of 25 per cent applies for 10 or more people. At least 10 per cent of proceeds made by Shane will go to a charity that will be supporting a balanced lifestyle.
Shane’s product line includes The 7 Simple Secrets to Success book and CD, both $15 each, and The 7 Simple Secrets to be an Exceptional Golfer book for $25.
