Gympie mother finds her Way to Happiness

Sat Feb 23 2008

The book was launchedinCooloola last night (February 22) and will be re-launched in Hervey Bay and Maryborough on March 5.

After losing her 32-year-old brother to suicide in August 1998, Julie said she started asking questions about the purpose of life and seeking more happiness in her life.

"I worked in a pharmacy at the time and saw so many people on anti-depressants and I wanted to help them," Julie said.

"Losing my brother, I thought I had depression until I realised it was coeliac disease which was a great relief. That's when I really started doing some sole searching."

Although she spent 10 years doing personal development study, she wrote the book in just three months.

Julie has done the hard yards; experiencing success, tragedy and the simple desire of wanting more out of life. Through her study and determination, she has taken advice from many different sources and gurus and developed her own success story.

"Because I was so keen to get it out there, I decided to self publish it," she said.

The book invites people to embrace all the goodness life has to offer and is written simply so that people can relate to it.

My Way to Happiness is appealing and offers accessible guidance on every general aspect that can improve the quality of life.

Julie writes with enthusiasm and humility as she describes her journey. Through her story, she reminds people that they can achieve their dreams – on every level.

By making simple progressive changes, she has grown from strength to strength, turning her life from mundane into magical. Julie found her way to happiness and, through her book, she invites people to find theirs.

"I wrote the book to help people in some way, whether small or large. I want to make a difference to people's lives and so far the response has been fabulous," she said.

The book launch of My Way to Happiness was at Cooloola Shire Public Gallery last night at 6.30pm.

The book is also available for purchase at the South Side Markets on Sunday, February 24, for $19.95. For more details, call (07) 5481 1360 or visit www.mywaytohappiness.com.au.
