Rare Native American Healings on Sunshine Coast
UK-born Walter has gained much of his knowledge from the Native American Lakota and Cree tribes. He is a ceremonial Hoop Drum Maker, an accomplished flute player and has earned the respect from many Native American Elders over his 40 year spiritual journey.
Both men are based on the Gold Coast and proceeds from the tour will be donated to RACQ Careflight Rescue, which helped promoter Jutta Swan when her son Kai was bitten by a snake at three years of age.
The duo will teach participants at a unique Native American Empowerment Retreat(including traditional Sweat Lodge Purification Ceremony) the secret to an empowered and fulfilled life, how to raise their energy, find true values, speak truth and free themselves from painful limitations.
Bobby, who plays Native American flute, drums and guitar and has been doing healings for 30 years, knows first hand what this is like as he was a chronic alcoholic and drug taker before he had a near-death experience which triggered a life shift. At 25 years of age, while working as an electrician on a navy ship in San Diego, he was electrocuted 440 volts on a metal floor.
"I went into the light," Bobby said.
"It seemed like I was there for hours, but it was only seconds. Voices came to me by forms of energy. When I refused their advances, more of them came.
"The next thing I know, I'm back in my body and the paramedics came. From then on, I started to heal people. My uncle took me under his wing and taught me how to work with Native American medicine to use my healing gifts."
Bobby said his purpose was to help people understand how beautiful and wonderful they were so they could change within themselves and heal the people and world around them through their energy.
"When people see through the eyes of love, the universe will give them more love, understanding and energy," he said.
"Their life becomes better and they are motivated because they want to live. They create harmony for themselves and those around them."
The pair will hold a Native Rhythms - Sacred Ground Concert at The Junction in Noosa on September 10, together with South American pan flutist Jorge Rico and Aboriginal elder/ didj player Bunna Lawrie, offering a spectacular mixture of Sacred Sound Healing. The Native American Empowerment Retreat, Sacred Hoop Drum Making and Native American Flute Playing Workshops will take place at the Glass House Mountains Eco Lodge from September 17 to 21.
